  • For the comfort and safety of our guests, we ask people not to smoke.

There is a supplement of £5.00 per person for single night bookings.

When making advanced bookings we ask guests to send a deposit of £5.00 per person per night (to a maximum of £50.00). Please make cheques payable to Norton House.

Cancellations policy: If you find that you are unable to honour your booking, please let us know as early as possible. The deposit may be retained if we are unable to re-let the room. Cancellations made less than 36 hours before arrival date will be subject to the full charge of the reservation.

Credit Cards:- We now accept payment by credit or debit card. (There will be a 2% charge on all credit card payments) The cost of one night's accommodation will be taken if guests do not turn up.

Access Statement:- Norton House is a listed building dating back to the 1500s, there are several different levels and the old floors are uneven. As the house is built on the side of a hill, the gradient is too steep to offer wheel chair access. The front door is approached by a flight of shallow stone steps, without a hand rail. All bedrooms are on the first floor, accessed by stairs with a hand rail. The en-suite bathrooms have a shower over bath fitted with a hand rail. There is no downstairs toilet. The stairs, corridors and landings are lit at all times, safety lights are fitted in all bedrooms. We do have many regular guests with mobility issues, and they cope quite happily with help.
